The Many Webpages Of Practical LunacyLuna used to use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) to do web design. Looking back at the code from those is frustrating! That being said, there were quite a few different designs over the years. The site was originally hosted on a site owned by one of the "TOTG" guys. www.practicallunacy.com didn't exist until late December of 2005. Let's take a look (please note that some of these had to be found via internet archives and are therefore missing pieces; Luna just didn't keep everything from back then): 2004-2006The original site, hosted on a site owned by one of the "TOTG" guys. The logo is missing in this view, but the logo remained the same for quite a while, so you can see it in the next image. 2006-2011This one lasted for about five years. 2011-2013This one didn't last long, but with that metallic rainbow butterfly, really? 2013-2014This one REALLY didn't last long (less than a full year). Really don't know what Luna was thinking when she reverted to nonsense for this one. 2014This one lasted for about the same amount of time as the last one, which is a shame, because this one had some appeal to it. 2014-2015This one also lasted about a year, and while it's definitely better than the one from 2013, it's pretty juvenile 2015-2017This one is a little bit of a callback to the one from 2014. 2017This one, we have mixed feelings about... It was really just was a way for Luna to show off the fact that she could do some new things with hand coding by putting the navigation bar on the side. 2017-2021Here's the most recent defunct site. Wasn't bad, and Luna was pretty proud of it at the time. But, it wasn't responsive, so it just plain didn't work on phones, which is kind of a big deal nowadays. |
